Is X Factor TREYC COHEN a cheat after she gave “one of the best vocal performances of the competition” on last nights live show.
Go on tell me you already knew Treyc Cohen has broken strict X Factor rules that bar contestants who already have management deals or records out.
Tell me you already knew Treyc Cohen has released a single called A Time to be Heard. And tell me you knew her record management company is Artimis Music Management Ltd and that you knew her single was released last December.
Tell me that on 16th Sept you knew that Treyc emailed her management firm boss Helen Priestly asking for confirmation from Ajoupa records (who produced A Time to be Heard) that it wouldn’t be available for sale during the X Factor. It was sent two days BEFORE Cheryl Cole’s Judges’ Houses audition on September 18 – when Treyc was told she hadn’t made the final three.
The E Mail said: “If Sony cannot have something in writting (sic) I will not be able to go on in the competition.”
The following day solicitors Lee & Thompson acting for Treyc sent another email to Artimis.
That said:
“To be eligible to proceed to the finals contestants must… not have management or existing recordings which may be released.”
I hate to go on – you already know that now X Factor lawyers are trying to buy her out of her management contract and have offered Artimis £1 – now upped to £500.
You know that Treyc’s agent Helen Priestley confirmed that Treyc was still contracted to her until November and described the £1 buy-out offer as,
” A kick in the teeth, I’m disappointed. I put a lot of time and effort into her.”
X Factor lawyers also had to free Katie Waissel from a US record contract so she could stay in the finals.
And it would be silly of me to think you didn’t already know that X Factor bosses have confirmed all this when they said tonight,
“We are looking into this. We had a similar situation with Katie Waissel and were able to get her out of the deal.”
And I just know you’ve already heard Treyc Cohen’s single – A Time to be Heard.
