Sisters Produce a Musical CD for a Local Performing Arts Charity

Saltash sisters Flo (15 years old) and Rose (12 years old) Bonner have produced a musical CD to benefit the Sue Hooper Charitable Foundation.

They have spent many months preparing and recording the CD which features ten songs sung by Flo and two piano pieces played by Rose.

This most colourful CD includes numbers by Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Eva Cassidy, Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson plus many more favourites like Lady Ga Ga’s Brown Eyes, Memories and Money Money Money.

Both Flo and Rose have won many trophies at local Music and Drama Festivals and have passed various exams in their field – they both study singing and piano in Saltash – and both attend Saltash.net Community School.

Flo has featured as guest vocalist in the very successful Saltash’s Got Talent grand finale for the past three years – and they have both performed in many charity concerts over the past few years in Saltash and Plymouth.

Flo and Rose said today:” We were approached by Mrs Sue Hooper to produce a CD to benefit the Trust that she founded over 11 years ago and we know many of the beneficiaries and have been impressed by their achievements and the help given by the Trust.

“We feel we have been blessed to be able to sing and perform and want to give something back to the Community and to the Sue Hooper Charitable Foundation.

“We have enjoyed putting together the CD and hope that people will buy them and enjoy them as much as we have in making them – we have included songs to include most people’s taste young and not so young alike.”

Sue added: “The Trust most appreciates the kindness of Flo and Rose producing this wonderful CD – I have heard it and promise that people who purchase it will be in for a real treat; particularly as in buying a CD they will also be supporting one of the leading Saltash and Cornish charities founded in aid and support of the promotion and education of Music, Drama and the Performing Arts.
