Robbie Williams backs Sport Relief

The new Robbie Williams single, “Morning Sun”, has been chosen as the official Sport Relief song for 2010, it has been announced.

The third track to be lifted from his latest album, “Reality Killed The Video Star”, will come out to coincide with the annual event.

All proceeds from the release will go to the fundraising effort, as Robbie, who is also appearing on Simon Cowell’s Haiti charity pop record, confirmed today.

“I am very happy to donate my time to help Sport Relief and I thank my co writers for doing the same. Please join us in helping this very worthwhile cause”, he said.

“Morning Sun” is out on March 8, while the Sport Relief weekend takes place on March 19-21.
