In an all new twist dubbed the “quarter slaughter” by The Sun, X Factor judges Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contastavlos and Kelly Rowland have each had to axe a member of their own group.
Jonjo Kerr a former infantry soldier from Wiltshire was the first to face the chop by the over 25′s mentor Louis. Gary heading up the boys cut unemployed James Michael from Cheshire. It’s fair to say Tulisa had the hardest job having to send home a group on the first results show of 2011. She chose Essex pair 2 Shoes insisting that she will stay close friends with the duo. Axing 16 year old, Amelia Lily the sister of Any Dream Will Do contestant, Lewis Bradley from Middlesbrough left Girl’s mentor former Destiny’s Child star Kelly in tears.
The X Factor continues next Saturday at 7:45pm on ITV1/HD!
