Lady Gaga was on Drugs

Lady Gaga is to reveal how she was nearly killed by drugs in her upcoming autobiography, according to reports.

The US pop superstar enjoyed a spectacular rise to fame in 2009 but admits her obsession with other rock idols almost cost her dear.

In the book, she is expected to describe taking “bags and bags” of cocaine and imagining she had met Thom York from Radiohead while on LSD.

“I thought I was gonna die. I wanted to BE the artists I loved, like Mick Jagger and Andy Warhol – and I thought the only way to do it was to live the lifestyle,” she says.

But Gaga goes on to explain how she managed to turn her life and career around. “I realised my father’s sister Joanne, who’d died at 19, had instilled her spirit in me.

“She was a painter and a poet – and I had a spiritual vision I had to finish her business,” she reveals.

The title and release date of the autobiography are yet to be announced.
