Susan Boyle Disturbs Burglar

Susan Boyle disturbed a burglar at her home in Scotland last night, police have confirmed.

The “Britain’s Got Talent” runner-up and international singing sensation was said to be “very shocked” by the discovery.

A man is reported to have fled the property in Blackburn, West Lothian when she and a friend arrived at 10pm.

Boyle had just got back from London, where she had been recording her contribution to the Haiti charity single.

“Susan got home to find an intruder halfway up her stairs. She was with a female pal, who was dropping her off.

“Her pal only expected to be with her for a couple of minutes, but it is just as well she was”, explained a close friend.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said: “Police were called to an address at around 9.50pm this evening following reports of a disturbance”.

A man is currently being held, they said.
