Cowell admits Jedward has the X factor

Despite previously labelling the twins John and Edward as “deluded” and getting progressively worse” it seems that TV’s Mr Nasty is finally starting to see just why the public love the duo.

Simon sparked outcry last week when he had the chance to send home Jedward in a sing-off vote, but instead he chose to take the vote to ‘deadlock’ which resulted in Lucie Jones getting booted off the show.

However, Simon’s right hand woman Sinitta claims that the judge saved the twins to benefit the show and the public and she was quick to defend his controversial decision to give Jedward another chance.

“The twins are adorable how can you not like them?

“Simon’s been attacked but, to me, he made the right choice. He could have booted them out because he doesn’t personally like them, but it’s not about what Simon likes. He kept them in not just to benefit the show, but the public too.”

Sinitta, 41, says Simon has nothing to hide and believes he may have simply realised the twins could be special.

She says: “It’s been an education for Simon. If he’s made a mistake it was not recognising what John and Edward had in the first place. Now he’s going: ‘Oh, they have the X Factor.’ I really do think they could win.”

Speaking to Closer magazine Sinitta also revealed that the rows between the judges during the show continue backstage.

“There have been tears and tantrums especially with Louis,” she says.

“He gets quite fired up when things don’t go his way. But it’s all said in the heat of the moment. One moment Dannii isn’t speaking to Simon, and then it calms down.There’s been a lot of drama this year.”

Sinitta says Simon has vowed not to ease up on his fellow judges, despite making Cheryl Cole cry last month after criticising her song choices.

She says: “There are more rows now than ever because there’s no soft approach any more. It’s not Dannii or Cheryl’s first year as judges, so it has become a level playing field. It’s a clear fight, so let the best man win.”
