Anthony Hamilton Releases His Latest Album

Anthony Hamilton has just released his latest album entitled, ‘Back to Love’. Critics have positively commented on his latest instalment with praises like “great distinctive voice”, “signature soul”, and “puts his heart and soul into this new release”. Statements of praise just don’t get much better than that.

The album consists of 12 tracks, all partly written by Hamilton. Each song ranges in tone and texture from soul to R&B, with almost a taste of hip-hop.

Talking about from where he gets his inspiration, Anthony Hamilton said, “Having children gives you another burst of energy, a new perspective. ‘Back to Love’ stems from that energy.” The new album is a collection of interesting, happy songs and love ballads, showing the full spectrum of soul music.

He also made an interesting comment about the songwriting, how some artists write songs aimed at being a smash hit, while other singers write a song because they just love what they are doing. He then elaborated, saying that ‘Back to Love’ is the end product of the “love what they are doing” songwriting process. Anthony further stated, “That’s why working on this album was so liberating.”

The only guest artist on the album is Keri Hilson, who features on the track Never Let Go. The smooth voice of the crooner tells how he never will let go, while Keri Hilson responds to his undying pledge in the most special way.

One highlight of the album is the track Woo, the first single to come of the album – a track all about an art thief. This song too is another great track. The review of the Woo music video was written a few weeks ago.

The album is full of great tracks for superb listening pleasure.

The album debuted at an impressive number 12 on the Billboard 200 chart.
