The Muppets target Christmas No 1

The Muppets are emerging as contenders for this year’s Christmas Number One with their cover of “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

Their recently issued take on the Queen classic has reportedly been viewed by almost ten million people since debuting online earlier this month.

It is now expected to come out as a digital single, with bookmakers predicting it will chart very strongly.

The “X-Factor” winner, Rage Against The Machine and George Michael are all expected to compete for the coveted annual prize.

“We’ve taken more bets on The Muppets to be Christmas Number One than anyone else so far”, said a Paddy Power spokesman of their chances.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” is to be released as a download on December 14.
